Last week Wægger Negotiation Institute and Roar Thun Wægger ran an online negotiation training for law students from the Law Society of Ireland on the topic Hardcore Softskills. Thank you, John Lunney, for inviting me back to your class.
It was an interactive session where students tested how challenging it is to be a good listener as well as advising Will Smith on how he could have used his moment during the Oscar Award ceremony.
After the session one of the students, Sean Quinn, replied:
“Roar’s workshop was incredibly insightful, and he conveyed his message effectively and held our attention through a mix of infographics, videos, and group activities. I found particularly interesting the emphasis put on creating an open and transparent relationship and how beneficial leading with openness can be. I’m looking forward to implementing Roar’s “hardcore soft skills” in my next negotiation and “leaning in” further to options proposed by my counterpart.”
